Privacy policy

This policy explains what information Storix collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Storix (“we”, “us”) is a remote company based in Nigeria. Questions about this policy can be sent to support@trystorix.com.

Information we collect

• Account information — your name, email address and password when you or your business owner create an account. Passwords are stored only as a one-way hash.
• Business data — the information you put into Storix: your business name, products, prices, costs, stock levels, sales, expenses and team members.
• Customer details you record — if you choose to add a customer’s name, phone number or email to a sale, we store it as part of your business data.
• Payment information — subscription payments are processed by Paystack. We do not receive or store your card number; we keep the plan, amount, status and transaction reference.
• AI features — receipt images you scan are sent for processing and deleted from our servers once the scan finishes. Questions you ask the AI assistant and its answers are kept so you can see your history, and are deleted after 90 days.
• Technical information — IP address, browser and device details, and request logs, used to keep the service secure and working.

How we use information

• To provide Storix: run your account, store your data and show your reports.
• To process subscription payments and manage your plan.
• To send the account emails described below.
• To protect the service, including preventing fraud and abuse.
• To answer support requests and improve the product.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use your business data for advertising.

Emails we send

Storix sends transactional emails from noreply@trystorix.com only to people with a Storix account, and only about that account:

• a welcome email when you sign up;
• password reset emails when you request one;
• subscription and payment notices — failed payments, upcoming expiry, non-renewal and the end of a grace period;
• stock alerts to the business owner when products run out.

We do not send newsletters or marketing, and we never email purchased or third-party lists. If an email to an address bounces or is reported as spam, we stop sending to it.

Who we share information with

We share information only with providers that help us run Storix, and only what they need:

• Amazon Web Services — delivers our transactional emails.
• Paystack — processes subscription payments.
• OpenAI — processes receipt images and assistant questions when you use AI features.
• Hosting and infrastructure providers — run our servers and databases.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or as part of a merger or sale of our business, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.

How we protect your data

Each business’s data is isolated at the database level, so one account cannot read another’s. Connections are encrypted, passwords are hashed, and team roles limit what each member can see and change.

How long we keep information

We keep your data while your account is open. If you ask us to close your account, we delete or anonymise your business data within 30 days, except records we must keep by law, such as payment records.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, or object to how we use it, by emailing support@trystorix.com. If you are in Nigeria, you also have rights under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and may complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

Cookies and local storage

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. It stores your light or dark mode choice in your browser. The Storix app stores your sign-in session in your browser so you stay logged in.

Children

Storix is a business tool and is not intended for anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the date above and let account owners know by email or in the app.
